It follows the traditional recipe - a light vanilla sponge baked fresh, soaked while still warm in evaporated milk, condensed milk, and double cream, then finished with smooth caramel sauce and a generous whipped cream topping.
The caramel is not a gimmick. It echoes the natural sweetness of the condensed milk in the soak and adds a slightly deeper, more rounded flavor to the whole cake. The whipped cream keeps the topping light, so the cake stays balanced rather than becoming too heavy.
